Puffed Brie with Berry Compote

This is a great last minute appetizer you can make up when unexpected guests arrive.

Ingredients

  1. Package of croissants (Pillsbury)
  2. Berry jam or canned cherry compote
  3. Brie
  4. Egg wash

Preparation

Roll the croissants out and place brie atop. Spread jam over brie. Wrap croissant dough around brie and twist the remains on top to create a rose bud (or use the excess dough to cut out shapes — like leaves at thanksgiving time).

Brush with egg wash for golden brown finish.

Cook as directed on croissant package.
