Cinnamon French Toast

A sweet weekend classic for breakfast or dessert.

Tony would make this for the boys on Sunday mornings when they were growing up.

Ingredients

  1. Half loaf french brioche
  2. Two eggs
  3. 1/4 cup half & half (sub milk)
  4. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  6. 1 tablespoon butter
  7. Maple syrup

Preparation

Mix eggs, half & half, cinnamon, and vanilla in a bowl at least as big as your brioche slices.

Heat up a little bit of butter in a skillet on medium heat.

Dip each slice in the mix immediately before placing in the pan with a little butter.

Fry slices until golden brown on each side.

Serve with maple syrup and optionally fresh fruit or powdered sugar.
