Nana's Beef Tacos

This is a Wierenga favorite dish. When we were asked, “What do you want for your birthday dinner?”, this is the meal that Ronnie and I picked. It's messy, delicious, and worth every calorie.

Ingredients

  1. 1 lb ground beef
  2. 1 small onion
  3. 1 Tbs oregano
  4. 1 Tbs parsley flakes
  5. 1 tsp cumin
  6. 1 tsp salt
  7. 1/2 tsp pepper
  8. Corn tortillas
  9. Monterey jack cheese

Fixing suggestions:
  1. Tomato
  2. Lettuce
  3. Avocados
  4. Salsa
  5. Hot sauces
  6. Sour cream

Preparation

Sauté onions and beef in a skillet and add the herbs. Spray a griddle with Pam and toast the tortillas. Fill each taco with meat mixture and add cheese. Stuff it up real good with your favorite fixings.

Nana use to deep fry the shells, but toasting is a much healthier option.
