Kim Ponsoldt made this salad for me at my 35th birthday party. I loved it so much; I've been calling it my salad ever since.

Ingredients
- Fresh spinach
- 1/3 cup toasted pecans, walnuts, or almonds
- Pint of strawberries
For Poppy Seed Dressing:
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1 1/2 tsp chopped onion
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 TBS poppy seeds
Preparation
Mix 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup vinegar, 1 1/2 tsp chopped onion, 1/4 tsp paprika, and 1/4 tsp worcestershire sauce for 20 seconds in a blender. With blender running, pour 1/2 cup oil through the food chute in a slow, steady stream, and process until smooth. Stir in poppy seeds.
Makes 1 cup of dressing.
